Angelica Ullrich - Singer/ Songwriter/ Composer

Born in Tajikistan, raised in Germany, grown in California, Angelica Ullrich has seen many sides of this great earth.

She discovered her passion for vocal-expression with a friend on a playground covered by trees at the age of 13.

At 14 she joined her first band. She took up singing lessons and paid appearances in churches. Wedding receptions followed. Loving the acoustics in large buildings and cathedrals, her vocal expressions began to soar.

While in a Bob Dylan cover band she began seeing the need to compose original music. This led to appearances in hip-hop , trance, soul and rock genres. She entered the States at 19 as an Au-pair and recorded her first EP by herself on her laptop. Not fully realizing she was going through depression for 3 years it allowed her to reflect upon her darkest emotions. After being rejected from Pop Akademie in Mannheim she swore she would show them that they missed out on something amazing.
Angelica relocated to San Francisco with a ton of sounds, lyrics and solitude. She joined a trip-hop project called Prettyhideous in 2008 which hit the lists on iTunes and, after personal differences, decided that it was time to fly solo.

Isolation and social deprivation isn't contributing to personal happiness so she decided to live a little. Not being as obsessed with creating music for the sake of sheer creation, but to express her life through it, she felt she needed a producer that 'got her'.
In 2011, after several dozen attempts to work with others, she found producer Joshua Rumer and submitted a track. Rumor heard the song and immediately got in touch with her to discuss the future. Knowing that this level of talent had to have attached a massive amount of insanity, he had to feel her out to see if they were a good match. Turns out there was no better match in the music business. The two got together, after her long drives from SF to LA and began hashing out some sonic mastery. It was evident that he 'got her'.

As of recently Angelica is collaborating with Wendy. As AWE they will make appearances in the Bay Area as well as record an album this summer of 2013.

Excited to have the biggest challenges in front of her, having not seen her family overseas in 7 years and refusing to return to Germany without at least a Grammy, she is prepping for studio sessions to create something that is a genuine reflection of her deepest emotional roller coasters. It is not for stardom that she travels the roads she does but for the release of the deluge that is her music. She is more concerned how we all act toward themselves and, therefore, others. She believes we are given gifts for higher purposes and the betterment of the world as a whole.

Keep an eye on this release because, when you need it most, whatever IT is, you will find it here. Every time.
